Linger

Based in Denver, Colorado, Linger is the only tribute band to The Cranberries music in all the United States. Their most important hook as a tribute for The Cranberries, is the original voice of our lead singer Mary Kate, (they will never find someone who sings like Dolores O’Riordan). Mary Kate does not try to imitate how Dolores used to sing. She naturally sings similar. Additionally, her passion for The Cranberries music truly captivates the audience along with the band’s energy!

Zac Brown Tribute Band

“ZBTB recognized how to replicate that sound and bring their audiences the musical magic they would expect to see from their beloved original band by providing a full band to back up some amazing vocals." - nysmusic.com

ZBTB is the premier tribute to the chart-topping Zac Brown Band. With 12 number-one singles and three GRAMMY wins, the Zac Brown Band is one of the hottest names in the music business and ZBTB is the first and most authentic tribute to their recorded music and live show. Not only does ZBTB capture the sound and creativity of the Zac Brown Band but they bring a similar atmosphere of family to their shows while engaging the audience in a way that is all their own.

From the Zac Brown Band’s 2008 breakout hit “Chicken Fried” to the recent sing-along anthem “Homegrown”, ZBTB plays all the hits any country fan knows and loves. In concert, the Zac Brown Band is well known for their renditions of a diverse set of covers, and ZBTB follows suit. With classics like “Enter Sandman”, “Ants Marching” and “Comfortably Numb” in the set, there’s something for everyone at a ZBTB show.

The members of ZBTB come from a wide range of backgrounds. Some have advanced degrees in music, and some have toured internationally - one even played for the circus. They all share some things in common, though: the brotherhood that only being in a band can bring, and the passion and experience to thrill the audience wherever they go.

From cramped pubs to concert halls, NASCAR races to backyard BBQs, and sand-filled parking lots to ocean-side stages, there are die-hard members of the “ZBTB Social Club” everywhere they’ve played. ZBTB is perpetually performing, and always looking for new places to put their “toes in the water, ass in the sand” and play music together for some new friends.

James Montgomery Blues Band

James Montgomery Blues Band

“The James Montgomery Band is tight and exciting, producing onstage music that aggressive, yet self controlled!”- Rolling Stone Magazine

Almost every musicologist and certainly every Blues enthusiast is familiar with the transition of Blues from its’ rural roots in the Delta of the deep South to the urban Blues of often industrialized Northern cities. Driven by economic crisis many blacks migrated northward with the promise of jobs in expanding cities like Chicago and Detroit. Among those who were part of this Great Migration were some of the South’s greatest Blues Masters including, among others, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, James Cotton, Jr. Wells, Buddy Guy and Matt Guitar Murphy.

What is often overlooked, is the reverse journey. The journey, or pilgrimage, of a subsequent generation of urban whites back to the Delta to experience first hand the ambience of cities like Clarksdale Mississippi in hopes of connecting with both the visceral and spiritual elements of the Blues that permeate these areas like a God struck slide guitar.

This Journey that started in Detroit in 1949 and culminated at the Crossroads. A journey that finally led to Clarksdale after years Detroit born and raised harp man and his band make their first trip to the Crossroads, to Clarksdale, to Ground Zero, to all the places that had so much meaning for them but they had never seen.

The show, lovingly entitled "Purple Brainz" is now held annually at the prestigious, Port City Music Hall. Past shows have featured Prince and The Revolution’s own keyboardist Matt “Doctor” Fink. Lately, Ford has been sticking with a rotation of his core band, The Beautiful Ones. Though, he and the band have plenty of surprises up their frilled sleeves.

2021 Kick Off Celebration

Kick Off.jpeg

The 2021 Autumnfest Steering Committee proudly invites the community to the 43rd Autumnfest Kick-Off Event to commence the start of our celebration including honoring this year's Grand Marshal, Jennifer Jolicouer.

Jolicouer was selected to be our 2020 Grand Marshal but due to the cancellation of Autumnfest last year, the committee made the decision to celebrate her contributions to our community in 2021. Jolicouer is the President/She-E-O of Athena's Home Novelties which just recently purchased a new headquarters in Highland Park in Woonsocket. She led a successful attempt called the "Athena's Cup" to bring a Guinness World Record to the city with the largest bra chain and in so doing brought awareness to breast cancer. Jolicouer has been active in the community for many years with her support to organizations such as Sojourner House, CCF, March of Dimes, Woonsocket Adopt-a-Family, Hearts with Hope, Gloria Gemma, Relay for Life, Milk Fund, and many more.
